VP Mike Pence sent a letter to Nancy Pelosi telling her that he’s not going to invoke the 25th amendment and that he isn’t going to play her political games:
Mike Pence compared her demand to the one Trump put on him last week, saying:
Last week, I did not yield to pressure to exert power beyond my constitutional authority to determine the outcome of the election, and I will not now yield to efforts in the House of Representatives to play political games at a time so serious in the life of our Nation.
Pence doesn’t just accuse Pelosi of playing politics, he proves it. In the following paragraph, Pence reminds Pelosi of what she said about the 25th amendment just a few months ago:
Just a few months ago, when you introduced legislation to create a 25th Amendment Commission, you said “[a] President’s fitness for office must be determined by science and facts.” You said then that we must be “[v]ery respectful not making a judgement on the basis of a comment or behavior that we don’t like, but based on a medical decision.” Madam Speaker, you were right.
Nice! But I’m sure it doesn’t mean anything to a woman who isn’t grounded on any principle except that which supports her agenda, or the people who support her.
Anyway, we all know the House will impeach President Trump tomorrow and the likes of Liz Cheney and other milktoast Republicans will join in to make it a grand spectacle that the MSM will treat like a full-blown and proper impeachment.
